Chair of the MERLIN time allocation group: referee for the Very Large Array: have served on Chandra time allocation review as panel member and deputy chair.

I am a research fellow and Reader in the Astrophysics Group. My main interests are the physics of and physical conditions in radio-loud active galaxies, their interactions with the hot phase of the intergalactic medium, and unified models for active galaxies. Supplementary interests include groups and clusters of galaxies, microquasars, catalogues and sky surveys and statistics.
